Dealer-Installer Spotlight: Ryan Reynolds

In the spring of 2008, Ryan Reynolds purchased a "Langston" Doorlite Kit, intrigued by the do-it-yourself door option after reading about Crestview Doors in Dwell Magazine. Within a few months, he was ready to make another purchase, this time for his back door. He selected the "Ledgestone."

"I was remodeling my own house," Ryan explains. "I wanted to wanted to make it as custom as possible."

With a Master's in Architecture from Texas Tech under his belt, Ryan was more than qualified to both assemble and install his new doors. He saw the opportunity to become a dealer on the Crestview Doors website and sent us an email.

Ryan's experience in Austin, Chicago, San Diego, and even Italy made him the ideal candidate to assist our customers with their remodeling projects. "I've dabbled in the entire spectrum of architectural design from residential to industrial and everything in between," he tells us.

In addition to having a solid background in architecture and remodeling, Ryan is also a member of the American Institue of Architects, the Austin Young Chamber of Commerce, and the Young Men's Business League of Austin. Ryan is a trusted member of the civic community, volunteering weekly at the Austin Sunshine Camps, a service organization that mentors at-risk youth. We felt confident that he would be a solid representative of the Crestview Doors brand.

Ryan offers a full-service installation package, including assisting with the choice of design and accessories, measuring the existing opening and entry components, ordering materials, assembling the new entry door, painting or staining the door, and finally installing the new door or entry system at the home. Most of the work is done off-site, reducing the time spent on-site and minimizing any inconvenience during replacement.

Since becoming an installer in the summer of 2008, Ryan has installed many doors around the Austin metro area, including a recent install in a remodel of a home originally designed and built by renowned local midcentury modern architect A.D. Stenger. The owners, still in the process of a complete renovation, passed along a glowing review of Ryan's work. "We love the door," owner Chris Ferguson told us.
